Bosco Augustine`s ``Resurrection Rediscovered as Redemption in Francois Xavier Durrwell,`` was a profound reflection on the mystery of the Resurrection and its implications for a Christian today. Appreciating the effort and quality of reflection, the panel observed: ``the reflections applied to the concrete Indian context is commendable and worth pursuing for a meaningful communication of Christ to a land still considered a territory of mission ad gentes.``

Two Indian Salesians from the Salesian Province of Chennai defended their theses for Licentiate in Theology at UPS-Rome on January 30, 2012. Frs. Cassius Correya and Don Bosco Augustine, successfully defended their theses in Ecclesiology and Christology respectively, bringing to fruition their two year stint at the Universita Pontificia Salesiana, Rome. Like sunrise and sunset, the two thesis presentations-one in the morning and the other at dusk- were cause for great cheer and jubilation of their respective guides and the unanimous appreciation of the public assembled.

The Rector Major, Fr Pascual Chavez has officially bifurcated the territory of the Salesian Province of Guwahati and formed the new Salesian Province of Silchar, with Silchar as the province headquarters.

The VOC-4 (Voice of Children) is the fourth step of ``Passage to Wholeness`` conducted by Don Bosco Animation and Research Kendra (DB ARK). It was held at Don Bosco Ashalayam, in Palam, New Delhi, for the YaR. A  three days programme from 26th  to  28th December 2011 for the junior boys (Group-B) in which 21 participated.
